OMAsta poistetaan 28. huhtikuuta ne ikääntyneet Tuubin työtilat, joiden vanhenemispäivä on 1.1.tammikuuta 2010 tai aiempi, mikäli työtilan ylläpitäjä ei ole merkinnyt sitä säilytettäväksi.

Peppi-ekosysteemi elää ja voi hyvin. Sitä jaetaan muille korkeakouluille Peppi-konsortion kautta. Metropoliassa Peppi-ekosysteemi toimii OMA-palvelukokonaisuus-nimen alla osoitteessa oma.metropolia.fi. Pepin palvelut siirrettiin OMA:n opettajan ja suunnittelijan työpöydille 9. syyskuuta. Peppi päivitettiin samalla versioon 1.4. Nyt käyttöön otettavat palvelut pohjautuvat vuonna 2013 käyttöönotettuun Perus-Peppiin.

Opettajat voivat jatkossa linkittää opetuksen OMA-työtiloihin kaikki käyttämänsä selainkäyttöiset oppimisympäristöt niin että opiskelijat löytävät ne helposti. Opetuksen työtilat syntyvät automaattisesti vuosisuunnittelun yhteydessä eikä niitä tarvitse erikseen aktivoida käyttöön. Myös mahdollisuus Moodle-työtilan käyttöön on automaattinen - Moodle-työtilaa ei tarvitse erikseen tilata.

Lisäksi koutussuunnittelijoille on omia koulutuksia, jotka yhä jatkuvat. Muut organisaatioyksiköt ovat saaneet toimintansa mukaisen perehdytyksen kuten myös korkeakoulupalvelut.

E12. When will the Tuubi workspaces be transferred to OMA?
They will be transferred on February 20-26. At that time, Tuubi workspaces are in read-only mode. OMA workspaces will deployed on February 27.
E13. What will happen to the old workspaces (established before January 1, 2010) of Tuubi?
The old workspaces (opened before January 1, 2010) will be erased unless the maintainer of the workspace marks it as "Keep".
E14. How can I mark the workspace as "Keep"?
By hitting the "Keep*" button released in workspaces before the end of April 2017.
E15. What will be the policy concerning the outdated workspaces?
As per February 15, 2018, the outdated workspaces (more than five-year old) will be erased automatically unless the maintainer of the workspace marks it as "Keep".
E16. When the usage of the current Tuubi will come to end?
The current Tuubi will be in use at least until the end of the year 2016February 2017. It is not decided yet when the lifeline of the current Tuubi will be ended.
E13E17. I just returned in an assignment in Tuubi workspace. Do I have to upload it to OMA too?
No, you do not have to. Assignments are returned to Tuubi as long as the same feature is fully in use in OMA.
E14E18. In where should I use the workspaces?
Use the workspaces via Tuubi until to the end of the year 2016at least until February 2017. The revised workspace-service in OMA will be initialized in February 2017.

E15E19. How can I get to the student's desktop?
Go to OMA (oma.metropolia.fi), in which the general desktop is opened. The students can get to the student's desktop from the symbol found behind the icon in the left upper corner.

E18E22. Study credits seem inadequate in OMA. I can´t see all the sub-attainments. Should I be worried?
If you have completed the course as a whole, then the sub-attainments have not been transferred to OMA. Only the fully completed course is transferred, which is the relevant information anyways. There is an exeption when some sub-attainments were completed but the overall course was not - then the completed sub-attainments were transferred.

E20E24. Is Peppi still hanging around?
Peppi Ecosystem is still alive and kicking. It’s distributed to other universities through the Peppi Consortium. In Metropolia, Peppi Ecosystem is working under the OMA entirety in the address oma.metropolia.fi. Services of Peppi were incorporated into the Teacher’s and Student’s Desktops on September 9. At the same time, a new Peppi version 1.4 was installed.

You can get to the services by going to OMA (oma.metropolia.fi), where you get to the General Desktop at first. Then teachers and designers can get to their desktops by clicking the symbol in left upper corner and then choosing the correct desktop from the opening list.
E22E26. What new there is in Peppi after the update and transfer to OMA?
Implementation planning´s view has changed.
Monitoring changes made in assignments: Supervisor can monitor, who and when has added, deleted or updated the assignments of the person.
Some smaller improvements have been done to planning and reservation of resources, to planning of annual work cycle and to planning of curriculum.

You can get to the manual of Peppi from the top-page of OMA manuals. Unfortunately, they're only in Finnish at the moment.

The workspaces of implementations are automatically created when annual work cycle is planned and there is no need to activate the workspaces separately. Also the possibility to use Moodle-workspace is automatic, there is no need to order it separately.

Yes. The first round of trainings started on 2nd of September 2016 and completed in November.
