Pilot testing
New York Times

This is a simple format for the questionaire for pilot testing.We tested with two students studying in metropolia outside our group.Here is the format of the questionaire and the answers given by the one of the user in metropolia UAS,leppavaara.The task for the user:visit NewYork Times website and try to get some basketball sports news of Miami heat and Los Angeles clippers.

1.Do you like the color of the site?
Ans:The color of the site is not that appealing.No i dont like the color.
2.What difficulties do you get using new york times reader?
Ans:I found some problems such as very small fonts,cluttered contents,not very easy to pick up small contents etc.
3.Do you like the arrangement of the content in the page e.g. sports,politics,entertainment etc?
Ans:The arrangement of the content is complex in a way.There are so many navigations button so that its pretty harder to focus on one.The contents in the page is harder to focus.
4.How many times a week do you read the papers ?
Ans:I dont use new york times so frequently.may be one times per day for international news.
5.In what position do you keep the new york times reader among other papers (e.g. Helsinki Sanomat, iltalehti,ilta sanomata and Lansi Uuusima)?
Ans:I keep New York Times Reader in 3rd position among given papers.Helsinki sanomat and ilta sanomat are the main newspaper in finland.If i need to get acquainted with international news,i read New York Times.
6. Was it easy to do the task what we have asked you to do?
Ans:Yes it was pretty easy because i was given the questions and i can just answer them concerning with mine experiences with New York Times.
7. Is the site user friendly in your point of view?
Ans:As new user,its not so much user friendly.
8. Is it easy to navigate?
Ans:The navigation is nice.Yes it was easy.
9.What you like and don't like about the site?
Ans:The things i liked about the site is the content and the thing i dont like is the font size.

Ans:The color of the site was ok.

Ans:The navigations was smaller and harder to get the thing looking for.

Ans:I like the content arrangement for the site.
4.How many times a week do you read the papers ?
Ans:I am a regular reader of world news.New york times has been always my first choice.I read more than 10 times a week.
5.In what position do you keep the new york times reader among other papers (e.g. Helsinki Sanomat, iltalehti,ilta sanomata and Lansi Uuusima)?
Ans:In the context of international news,its in number one among given newspaper.
6. Was it easy to do the task what we have asked you to do?
Ans:It was easy to do the task.
7. Is the site user friendly in your point of view?
Ans:Yes the site is user friendly.everything you need to know is there.
8. Is it easy to navigate?
Ans:Yes,the navigation is easy.
9.What you like and don't like about the site?
Ans:I like the images in the site.This site keeps clear and important images.It keeps the upto date news.I dont have anything to say about dislike.
