Lean harjoitusraportointi. Katsotaan kuin tässä käy. Olen harjoitellut harjoitusraporttia tuolla aikaisemmissa trackeissa ja tuntunut haasteelliselsta. Selvää on että ennen Istanbulia tätä täytyy harjoitella rutkasti enemmän. Netti tuntuu tällä Arenalla toimivan, joten otan riskin ja yritän kirjoittaa suoraan tänne wikiin.

1. Emergent Design: How the Skeuomorph helps us to think about Non-Human Agency

Pakko oli katsoa ennen aloitusta, että mitä on skeuomorph - wikipedia. Wikipedia sivulla alempana on Digital skeuomorphs, josta lienee kyse.

Dan aloittaa näyttämällä kuvia muinaisesta tavasta tehdä tulta. Keppien pyörittämisestä toisiaan vasten, josta on syntynyt spiraalimainen muoto, eli ruuvi. Ruuvi on keksintö joka hyödyntää muotoa joka on luonnossa ollut aina, esimerkiksi pyörre. Aika usin keksinnöt nykyään eivät ole varsinaisesti ihmisen innovaatioita vaan jotain joka on ollut aina olemassa. Puhuja kutsuu tätä skeuomorphingiksi. vähän pihalla olen, mutta jatkan...

Kertoo esimerkin siitä kuinka tehdään kopioita eri materiaalista kuin alkuperäinen. Kuitenkin kopioon laitetaan jotain joka matkii alkuperäistä. Eli muotilla tehdään maljakkoon köysikuviota vaikkei sitä käytön kannalta tarvitsisi.

  •  Dan O'Hara is a philosopher of technology and literary historian. His next book, Extreme Metaphors: Selected Interviews with J. G. Ballard, 1967--2008, co-edited with Simon Sellars, is published by Fourth Estate in September 2012.
2. Magith Noohukhan, Xing
  •  Magith Noohukhan (28) is a Software Quality Assurance Manager at XING AG. He joined the company in January 2011. In this role, Magith is responsible for the overall quality of software in connection with the XING API and developer portal which were launched in March 2012. To this end, Magith is responsible for their continued development, implementation of new features, and making sure that the API is solid. His vast interest in social media and its importance led him to launch his career at XING. Prior to joining XING AG, Magith worked at several multinational companies in India and Germany, including MindTree Consulting, Unisys and the German Aerospace Centre. Magith graduated with an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany.
3a. Benjamin Rabe, FingerPainted.it
  •  Benjamin Rabe grew up in the realm of HP-Calculators, Activision games, and Beaker. He painted his first 4-part-series of comics at the age of 12, started programming Pascal and Assembler on his Atari 600XL at the age of 14. He studied Physics and Math for 2 years and switched to Graphic-Design later. FIngerpainting on mobile devices since late 2009, he has been included in several national and international art-shows and was featured in several print publications. In 2011 he organized the worldwide first appearance of mobile digital art in a fine-art museum, the MK&G in Hamburg. Benjamin publishes and maintains fingerpainted.it, a blog about the theme, which hosts an extensive gallery of artists who work on digital devices. He is also founding board member of The International Organization of Mobile Digital Artists, iAMDA.org and is part of an international group that organized the MobileArtConference

    in New York 2010 and 2011. Benjamin lives in Hamburg and works as a freelance UX-designer including projects like qype, projektwerk and dpa-newslab.
3b. Fabric Lenny, Artist Paul Slater
  •  Prolific image-maker and serial collaborator Fabric Lenny has been working creatively throughout the UK in a variety of art forms for over 20 years. Although primarily concerned with drawing and the meandering line, he has collaborated with dancers, musicians, photographers and other visual artists in the creation of interesting visual meanderings which are candy for the eye and musings for the soul. His recent collaborations have taken him to Europe and North America, where his work has been exhibited alongside his live drawing performances.  Recent Public Art commissions created by Fabric Lenny have been received with enthusiasm and have demonstrated how his work can animate a space and engage an audience.
